Measuring Guidance

Chest Circumference

Measure the circumference around your chest, with the tape beneath your armpits, in line with your nipples. Make sure to hold the tape horizontally. Relax your arms at your sides and breathe normally, to get a correct chest measurement.

Chest Width
 

With the person's arms by their side, measure across the front of the chest. Start at the front of the right armpit, continue measuring across the nipples, and then stop at the front of the left armpit. Do not measure under the arms.

Back Width

With the person's arms by their side, measure across the back. Start at the back of the right armpit, continue measuring across the shoulder blades, and then stop at the back of the left armpit. Do not measure under the arms.

Shoulder Width

​Measure from the end of the right shoulder to the end of the left shoulder. We define the "End of the Shoulder" as where the horizontal plane of the shoulder intersects the vertical plane of the arm.

Waist Circumference

Measure around the fullest part of the waist or immediately below your bottom ribs, whichever is gives the greater measurement.

Sleeve Length​

​

Measure from the shoulder/arm intersect to the "Pinch" of the hand, which is found where the base of the thumb and the base of the index finger intersect.

Wrist Circumference​

​

Wrap the tape measure around your wrist, just below your wrist bone. Submit the largest value of the two.

Bicep Circumference​

​

Relax your arms at your sides and wrap the tape measure around the largest point of both of your biceps. Submit the largest value of the two.

Blazer Length - Front​

Measure vertically from the front of the base of the neck (right or left side) to the point parallel with your thumb knuckle, or to the length you would like your jacket.

Blazer Length - Back​

​

Lower your head a little and measure from the most prominent vertebrae below your neck, to 1 cm below where your rear intersects with the apex of your thighs. Tip: You can use the measurement of a jacket that already fits you, or measure down to the length you would like your blazer.

Neck Circumference​

When measuring: The tape should be comfortably touching the skin, with enough room so that you do not feel restricted.

Trouser Waist Circumference​

Measure around your waist at the level where you would normally wear your belt. With the tape measure snug around your waist, relax, and take the measurement. Don't be alarmed if this measurement seems larger than expected; off-the-rack pants are normally labelled as being smaller than what they actually are.

Hip Circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

Thigh Circumference

​Measure around your thigh at its widest point. You need to only measure one side.

Crotch Measurement

​

 Measure from the top of the pant's waistband at the front-side, under the crotch and back to top of the pant's waistband on your back-side. 

Inside Leg Measurement

 Take off your shoes and stand with your legs slightly wide apart. Measure from the highest centre point of the thigh (below the crotch line) to the floor, following the natural shape of the inside leg. Keep the tape quite taut. 

Trouser Length​

​

 Measure from the top of your pant’s waistband to the floor along the outside of your leg. Make sure the tape is tight and that you are standing straight, before measuring. 

Trouser Cuff Measurement​

Measure width around cuff, as shown. 

Shoulder Type

​

What's your shoulder type? High, Regular or Low. 

Chest  Type

​

What's your shoulder type? Chiselled, Regular, or Robust. 

Back Type

​

What's your shoulder type? Straight, Regular, or Curved. 

Stomach Type

​

What's your shoulder type? Flat, Regular, or Protruding. No cheating! 

Buttock Type

​

What's your buttock type? Flat, Regular, or Protruding. Again, no cheating. 

Overall Fit

​

Choose the fit you like the most. Be it comfort, regular, or slim. This is just to give our tailors an idea of your final fit. If you want to change it, just contact us with your details.
